Stephen Tice
Network Solutions Technician
Why did you decide to get into the IT industry and how did you get here?
“My brother originally started working with computers and watching him sparked my interest. When I was in high school he helped me to start my career path and I attended a technical program for Computer Networking and Security, which I later attended Northampton Community College and received my degree in the same program.”
Which of your skills benefits the success of tech42 most?
“I’m very good with troubleshooting and working to find solutions to issues that clients might have. I’m also a very patient person which helps when troubleshooting because it not only helps to keep our clients calm, but also the team members that I’m working on projects with.”
In your opinion, what are the core values of tech42?
“I think our biggest value is honesty with our clients. We make sure that each client receives the same level of care and honesty in the services that are getting. It is important to us that we fix things the right way, creating a long-term solution rather than a band-aid for their issues. We are always straight forward with our clients, so they also understand why we are fixing things and improving things for them in the way that we are.”
Tell us about one of your favorite projects with tech42?
“Olympia Chimney was my favorite project so far because it was the first project that I was able to go on-site with higher level technicians. It was not only a learning experience for me, seeing how they did their jobs outside of the office, but also it was great to meet the clients face to face. It was a very different experience than what happens inside of the office and I’m looking forward to more projects like this.”
In a few words, what do you like most about working at tech42?
“We have the best environment at tech42! Everyone here is extremely good at what they do, but they also like to have fun and enjoy their workday. We have a very good balance of serious work time and little breaks to enjoy the day. I truly enjoy coming to work everyday because I love the team that I get to work with.”
What are some things you like to do when you aren’t working?
“I’m always working on or having fun with my cars and motorcycles. I’m also a very big into skiing during the winter months and I enjoy recreational sports, especially basketball, with my friends in the warmer months.”
