It is not uncommon that technology within a business is set up and maintained but not evaluated like other crucial segments of the business often are.  Recently, we teamed up with other local companies that all have a hand in office technology to inform Lackawanna and Luzurne County businesses of where they need to focus their attention.  On Thursday, June 13 th Fibertel Inc, tech42, Guyette Communications, Topp Business Solutions and Red Collar Bandit gathered local professionals at the Wilkes Barre THINK Center for an afternoon of networking and informative presentations geared toward growing their business with the help of technology.  “Technology Building Blocks for Your Business” included the following topics, Properly Cabling your Business for the Future, Significance of Updating Network Equipment, Types of Phone Systems Available Today, Office Automation Solutions and Importance of Auditing your Vendors.

Tech42’s education was put together to inform local business owners of the importance of updating and maintaining their hardware and network.  In the coming months, we are strongly encouraging business owners to upgrade their systems to Windows 10 before the Windows 7 end life in January 2020.

The over 35 attendees were able to interact with industry professionals during a question and answer session after the presentation.  The importance of all the business technology working together was showcased throughout the event but also during the Q&A.
