Network Solutions Technician
Why did you decide to get into the IT industry and how did you get here?
“When I was growing up I spent a lot of time watching my cousin work on computers and found an interest in learning about them myself. When it was time for college I decided to attend Lackawanna College and received my associate degree in Information Technology Security. Still wanting to learn more I went to Bloomsburg University and received my bachelor’s degree in Digital Forensics.”
Which of your skills benefits the success of tech42 most?
“My background and knowledge of digital forensics definitely adds to the team at tech42 by allowing me to help our customers with ‘lost’ data. It’s not uncommon that clients call in and need data that has been hidden or deleted to be retrieved and with the proper tools I can get that done for them.”
In your opinion, what are the core values of tech42?
“I’ve only been here a short time, but I can confidently say that integrity and honesty are at the top of the values here. I can tell that everything we do is for our clients and it is always done in a cost-efficient manner and meets their needs. We like to be honest with our clients and do what is best for them.”
Tell us about one of your favorite projects with tech42?
“I’ve been working on a high-end Dell (S4048T-ON) switch and that’s been a great learning experience for me. The switch failed in the field and I had to replace it, throughout replacing it and testing the replacement I was able to learn a lot about how they work.”
In a few words, what do you like most about working at tech42?
“It is a great learning environment. The knowledge that is shared so freely from the more experienced technicians is fantastic and allows you to always be learning and growing here.”
What are some things you like to do when you aren’t working?
“When I’m not working I love to cook with my wife, Geocaching and going fishing.”
