Brian Johnson
Network Solutions Engineer
Why did you decide to get into the IT industry and how did you get here?
“My brother attended Career Technology Center for Computer Sciences and when he brought computers home I became interested on working on them myself. I took the approach that if he could do it, I would do it better, and then 15+ years later here I am, still working on computers! I went to Johnson College and received a degree in Computer Sciences and was fascinated by how computers worked and what went into making them work.”
Which of your skills benefits the success of tech42 most?

In your opinion, what are the core values of tech42?
“I think that customer service is our most important value, our goal is to help our clients to have their issues fixed as quick as possible with the least amount of stress on them as possible. We want them to feel comfortable calling us for help no matter how big or small the issue is. Also, we value ourselves on having those issues fixed in a timely manner and that helps our customers to view us with a high standard, we want to be the #1 IT service company in the area!”
Tell us about one of your favorite projects with tech42?
“My favorite project was definitely the La-Z-Boy installation that we did. It was a very fun and hands-on project, but it was also on a very large scale and needed to be done on a short timeline. We worked hand in hand with the corporate heads when they switched ownership and they were very impressed at not only our work but the personalities that we brought to the table too. I really liked this project too because it was a big team effort, everything from quoting the job to purchasing the equipment to strategizing on the best way to complete the job was done as a team.”
In a few words, what do you like most about working at tech42?
“It’s just a great atmosphere to work in and we have a great team production going on here.”
What are some things you like to do when you aren’t working?
“I have 2 young children that are very active in sports and activities, so most of my free time is spent with them at their activities. I also enjoy working on my home in addition to spending time with my family.”
